MEET THE RUNNERS!

ADAM ZIHAR (Husband of Sunflower Kindergarten Teacher, Jill Zihar and proud Father of new baby, Bailey, a future WSP student!) and  his good friend NEIL JENKINS are teaming up to raise funds and run the race!

KIRA GARTNER (Mother of Alexandra, 3rd grade; Annika, 6th grade; & Will and Hannah, WSP Alums)

LIZA HERSCHEL (Mother of Marlaina, 3rd grade & Brenna, 7th grade) - Joined the gym in December and, by February, found myself running 3 miles AT ONCE on the treadmill several times a week for the first time in my life.  What an opportunity to take it up a notch by training for a 10 mile run and using it to raise funds for my favorite school on the planet!  Thrilled to be able to help make a Waldorf education available to someone who cannot afford it.  Oh and I am up to 4 miles (running outside) in late March.  I’m adding a mile a week and will be ready for the run.

BRENDA LITTLEJOHN- Known as the mother of Damani in the 5th grade.  I became an "official" runner last year when I decided I wanted to start running 5k races as a way to lose weight and meet people. When I discovered the exhilaration you get from running and the stress it relieves, I became addicted.
Unfortunately, I had an injury set back and fell off the wagon.  Now I'm back to support and raise money for Team Waldorf!  I hope you can get on my band wagon and support The Waldorf School of Philadelphia provide scholarships for families in need.

NATASHA (TASH) KASSELL-OSBORNE (Mother of Finn, 2nd grade & Zoe, 5th grade)

LISA PHILLIPS (Mother of Erin, 7th grade & Amy, WSP Alum) & AMY PHILLIPS (WSP Alumni Class of 2007 & a Junior at Central High School)  On May 2nd, Amy and Lisa will run the 10 mile Broad Street Run.  Yes, you read correctly, run!   Lisa didn't think it was possible that she would shift from die-hard walker of marathons to runner of her first 10 miler, but it's true.  Amy ran on Central High School's Cross Country Team this past fall and decided to try The Broad Street Run.  With Amy's encouragement, Lisa started running in January and together, they have put in over 225 miles of training in order to be ready for the race in May.  Together, they have set a goal of raising $2,000 for The Waldorf School of Philadelphia.  Please help them reach their goal.

Thanks,

Lisa (and Amy)
